Bad xmlrpc service in B2evo

B2evo looks strong in supporting multiple
language blogs. It is shipped with many language packages. You can even
change the language setting for a single post when you are composing.
It’s really cool! However, I found the xml-rpc service provide by B2evo
it terrible.

From time to time, I publish some posts in Chinese. (Because I’m a Chinese:D)
Although B2evo provides 3 different blog APIs, no of them is complete
or flaw-free! It doesn’t match the reputation of the best
multiliguistic support. First, the Blogger API is the version one, too
old! At the time it was designed, there was no many functionalities as
today’s blog system. Moveable Type API and the Metaeblog API are not
complete. The function defined in the APIs do not match the the
functions provided by B2evo! For example, to manager the catagories is
impossible.

Installation of B2evo

The following post is transferred from one of my old website built by B2evolution. I have to say it is a nice php blogging system, although I moved to WordPress. As the first website I built, B2evo presented it’s power and well-organized structure. The funny thing is that I left it just because it’s too powerful and sophisticated for a personal website. However, I prefer to leave this post on the current website, especially, for somebody new to B2evo. Maybe you will like it.
